New Year’s Reflective Meditation online retreat
The variety of meditative experiences and calm states
Many of us value diversity. We respect the diversity of meditative experiences.
Our code of ethics says, ‘We honor the varied life experiences and conditions each of us brings to practice. We inquire with curiosity and respect different needs and paths of development. We endeavor to not ‘kill’ others’ experience with disrespect or advice or by abuse of the power inherent in roles of explicit or implicit leadership. We strive to treat each person with respect and dignity, without discrimination on the basis of race, colour, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, mental or physical form.’
These words capture the values of inclusivity and diversity embedded within Reflective Meditation. If we can live ever closer to these values in our inner worlds, then we have a better chance of bringing them along with us when we interact with the external world. This practice is a form of activism.
