SUMMARY:Presence: An Online CE Workshop for Mental Health Professionals
DESCRIPTION:Presence: A Doorway to Ethics\nTherapeutic Presence has been shown to be a potent indicator of success in therapy, yet it is often overlooked in clinical training.\nThis workshop introduces participants to Reflective Meditation, an innovative meditation process that naturally develops Presence, bringing gentle awareness to our experiences. By honing this reflective process, participants can enhance their ability to be present with themselves and clients, ultimately increasing ethical awareness and resilience.\nBecoming more aware of our experience through meditation ultimately highlights several human existential “givens”. In Buddhism, these “givens” are called the Marks of Existence. This workshop provides a deeper understanding of how these three Marks can create more capacity to approach our difficulties, and those of our clients, with greater insight, balance, and ethical intelligence.\nLearning Objectives:\n–Learn and practice Reflective Meditation, a contemplative meditative approach that supports therapeutic Presence and functions as an ethical safeguard\n–Identify how ethical considerations of professional boundaries intersect with the development of therapeutic Presence\n–Learn the Three Marks of existence in Buddhist Psychology and a provisional fourth mark\n–Adopt an adaptation of ACA Code of ethics as workshop agreements\nJoin us in this transformative workshop to unlock the door to therapeutic Presence, ethical insight, and personal/professional growth. Limited spots available for a more personalized learning experience.\nSaturday, June 20, 2026 9:30 am – 4:30 pm/PT Online via Zoom\nRegister!\nCost: The workshop is offered at three price points: $225, $175, and three spots at $125 for students, interns, or those who are financially challenged. Consider what you can afford. If you are able to pay on the higher end, this will support others who are experiencing financial challenges.\nWe are offering one free slot to BIPOC therapists. To request the slot, please email Charlotte August at ethics@pinestreetsangha.org.\nCE: 6 hours approved by NBCC**\nFor more on this approach to meditation, visit Reflective Counsel\n\nFor more information on the workshop, contact Moline or call 503-893-5488.\n**Pine Street Sangha has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6694. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Pine Street Sangha is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.\n
